8% of SoCal renters housing insecure as suburban rents in greater L.A. expected to climb.

The 2021 Casden Economic Forecast from the University of Southern California projects a 9.9% increase over two years in suburban rents in five regions of the greater Los Angeles area. At the same time, thousands of renters throughout the country fear eviction and are behind on rent because of wage loss from the pandemic. 8% of renters in Southern California consider themselves housing insecure and owe back rent.
